Installing a network adapter

Use this procedure to install a network adapter.

1. Shut down the computer. See the shutdown command for information on how to shut down a system.
2. Turn off the computer power.
3. Remove the computer cover.
4. Find a free slot and insert the network adapter. Be careful to seat the adapter properly in the slot.
5. Replace the computer cover.
6. Restart the computer.
