Online Diagnostics
This topic describes the types of modes in which online diagnostics can be run.
Standalone diagnostics (POWER® processor-based systems only)
Standalone diagnostics provide a method to test the system when the online diagnostics are not installed and a method of testing the disk drives that cannot be tested by the online diagnostics.
NIM Diagnostics
Hardware diagnostics can be performed on all NIM clients using a diagnostic boot image from a NIM server, rather than booting from removable media or hard disk.
