The AIX® operating system is supported on specific Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) platforms that provide a virtualized environment for quick and scalable deployment of workloads.

The AIX operating system runs on IBM® Hyperconverged Systems Powered by Nutanix, IBM CS821 (8005-12N) and IBM CS822 (8005-22N), starting with the Acropolis Operating System (AOS) 5.2.1.1 and KVM-based Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) 20170331.78.
