Uninstalling

Desktop Client can be uninstalled without removing existing configuration files.

Procedure

  1. If you are uninstalling in order to upgrade your Aspera® product, review the upgrade preparation steps in Upgrading or rolling back Desktop Client.
  2. Close or stop the following applications and services:
    • FASP® transfers.
    • SSH connections.
    • User interface.
    • Hot Folders.
  3. Select Search on the taskbar and typeAdd or remove programs.
  4. Select IBM Aspera Desktop Client, click the overflow menu and select Uninstall.

What to do next

Note: This process does not remove Aspera configuration files. If you reinstall an Aspera product, these configuration files are applied to the new installation.
