Desktop Client can be uninstalled without removing existing configuration files.
Procedure

If you are uninstalling in order to upgrade your Aspera® product, review the upgrade preparation steps in Upgrading or rolling back Desktop Client.

Close or stop the following applications and services:
- FASP® transfers.
- SSH connections.
- User interface.
- Hot Folders.

Select Search on the taskbar and typeAdd or remove programs.

Select IBM Aspera Desktop Client, click the overflow menu and select Uninstall.
What to do next
Note: This process does not remove Aspera configuration files. If you reinstall an Aspera product, these configuration files are applied to the new installation.
