Edit your program
After a program is activated, you can only edit the name and notes associated with the program. You must deactivate a program to edit its settings and any items within the flow.
You can edit the name and notes associated with a program on the Edit Program Settings page.
When you deactivate a program, contacts are paused where they are on the current track or step. Emails may already be scheduled to send depending on how long the program has been active. Deactivation does not stop an email send.
After associating a database to a program, you cannot delete it or change to another database; however, Acoustic Campaign allows you to update the information in your database or create and select a query of the same database to use as the contact source.
You can use queries that contain profile, relational table, or behavioral criteria for program entrance. Use event behaviors for UB criteria. Within the program flow rule builder, you can use profile, behavioral, relational table as well as child relational table, UB criteria and in-queries.
If you remove or change rules on any current actions in a program where contacts are or have been present, such as a Decision Point, contacts can be waiting on the Start Track ready to proceed to the first step once you re-activate.
A Decision or Rule qualifies a contact for a Step or Move. The two elements are related to each other.
- In Classic Programs, you can address existing contacts by either adding a rule for those in
process or adding a Move to Exit or Move to Track action with appropriate rules at the program or
track level.
- Program and track levels process before the first step on the Start Track.
- You can make a copy of the current program and make changes there which purges any existing contacts from the flow.
As long as the program is inactive, you can edit the information on the Edit Program Settings page. Click the name of any program and then click the Edit Program Settings button to update your program settings.
You can configure most settings on the page, including adding additional emails if needed. However, you cannot change the database or delete emails.
