Getting started with Acoustic Experience Analytics (Tealeaf)

Here are some steps to help you get started with Acoustic Experience Analytics (Tealeaf) in your role as a RegularUser.

About this task

Before you get started with Acoustic Experience Analytics (Tealeaf), there are some things to understand about where you can get training, what browsers are supported, and the difference between a Tealeaf ID and an IBM ID.

Note: Acoustic Experience Analytics (Tealeaf) user sessions timeout after 12 hours.

After you understand those concepts, here are the first steps to get you on your way.

Procedure

  1. If necessary, set up your user profile, such as selecting a language and changing your default password.

For more information, see Logins and passwords.

  2. Use the Starter workspace to become familiar with Acoustic Experience Analytics (Tealeaf).

For more information, see What is a "starter" workspace?.

  3. Determine what your business goals are and what you need to define in Acoustic Experience Analytics (Tealeaf) (in the form of events) to measure those goals. The Event Administrator then creates the events.

For example, you want to identify form field errors in a transactional process.

For more information, see How do I create basic events?.

  4. Understand your organization's strategy for naming tags. Tags are used on objects such as events and attributes to organize them. When you create a report, you can search on the tags to find the events that you want to include in the report.
  5. Create your own workspace to view the information (in the form of reports) that is more important to you.

For more information, see How do I create my own workspaces?.

  6. Understand how to search for visitor sessions and how to replay visitor sessions.
