How do I create a dimension group?
A dimension group is a set of dimensions that can be displayed in the same report. A dimension must be included in at least one dimension group.
Before you begin
Before you create a dimension group, you must know the name of the dimensions that you want to include in your dimension group.
About this task
- A dimension group can contain up to five dimensions.
- A dimension group can be thought of as the parent of the dimensions.
- An event can be associated with one or more dimension groups.
Use this procedure to create a dimension group.
Procedure
- In the Event manager, select New.
- Select Dimension group.
- Enter the dimension group name.
- Click + Add tags to associated tags with this dimension group. Select or enter tag names.
- Enter a description.
- Click + Dimensions to add dimensions to the group.
- Select the dimensions and click Select.
- Click Save.

You can create a dimension group called user agent properties. User agent properties dimension
group is made of these dimensions:
- User agent name
- Screen width
- Screen height
- JavaScript support
In this example, the inclusion of the User agent name dimension is useful for combining dimensions into new events.
