What is a Data Export task?

A Data Export task is a user-defined operation for exporting session data to long term storage.

Note: For the August 2019 release of Acoustic Experience Analytics (Tealeaf), the capability to create an export task for reports (Report Export) has been removed from the Data Export feature.

Extracted session data provides an accurate account of how customers interact with your web or mobile application when they visit your website.

By default, the maximum number of sessions that can be archived in a single job is 500k for a CSV export and 20k for an LTS export. For example, if you're exporting 21 K sessions for LTS, the export task archives 20k sessions and skips the remaining 1k sessions.

The size limitations can be configured on a customer-by-customer basis. For an LTS export, the allowed maximum session size is 50 MB. The session size is based on the value that is attributed to the Session size (MB) event, which does not account for static resources. Sessions that are larger than 50 MB are skipped.
