Monitoring
Use the Monitor page in App Connect to see the number of flow runs and latency values for your deployed integrations, and CPU and memory usage for your App Connect runtimes. Runtimes are also enabled for end-to-end monitoring so that you can track business transactions across capabilities in IBM® webMethods Hybrid Integration.
About this task
- App Connect monitoring
- The Monitor page in App Connect shows data
for your integrations and runtimes in graph form and in tables. You can see how much CPU time and
memory your runtimes are using and how long it takes for your integrations to run. You can filter
the type of data that you see, set a specific time period to collect data, and drill down to more
detailed information about your resources. Note: Billing and monitoring data originate from the same source but are presented differently. Monitoring data is aggregated so that you can assess performance and identify issues. Therefore, it's normal for monitoring data to appear different from billing data. To view billing and usage data, click your initials in the App Connect header and click IBM SaaS Console.
To monitor your integrations and runtimes in App Connect, see Monitoring App Connect integrations and runtimes.
- End-to-end monitoring
- End-to-end monitoring is provided in webMethods Hybrid Integration to show the
flow of your business transactions across multiple capabilities. A dashboard provides a graphical
representation of transactions across capabilities, and a summary of successful and failed
transactions. End-to-end monitoring shows what your integrations are doing and how long nodes take
to complete their workload. You can configure alerts that show notifications or send emails when
certain conditions are met.
After the deployed integration runs, go to the webMethods Hybrid Integration home page and click End-to-end monitoring. App Connect is represented in the network view of the end-to-end monitoring dashboard. To see the number of successful and failed transactions, hover over the icon that represents App Connect. The table also shows more details for transactions. For more information, see End-to-end monitoring in the IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration documentation.
You can also configure IBM App Connect Enterprise to send data for end-to-end monitoring. For more information, see Monitoring end-to-end transactions in webMethods Hybrid Integration in the App Connect Enterprise documentation.
