The following table provides a summary of recent enhancements and changes to the Db2 Analytics Accelerator Loader included in the base code.
Description
---
Accelerator Loader now supports IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator versions 7.5 and 8.1.
Db2 Analytics Accelerator Loader can be discovered by IBM Db2 Administration Foundation for z/OS and IBM Unified Management Server for z/OS. This enhancement provides integration of Db2 Accelerator Loader features into the modern platform of Db2 Administration Foundation.
Delivers an external load health monitor to help monitor and manage external load processes. The monitor will optionally be able to cancel an external load that is suspended or inactive so that it can be rerun as needed. For more information, see Using External load health monitor.
Includes the high availability load health monitor to manage Db2 Analytics Accelerator load jobs on a load from Db2 table to accelerator. If the job stalls where there is no progress, the job can cancel all related subtasks and terminate the batch job. For more information, see Using HALOAD monitor.
Accelerator Loader has been updated to support the DECFLOAT data type.
A new keyword ACCEL_SET_REPLICATION is introduced. Using this option, you can enable replication on the table after an initial load from a Db2 table to accelerator. Replication support is provided for Change Data Capture (CDC) or IBM Integrated Synchronization (InSync).
A new global option: ACCEL_WHEN_UNAVAILABLE is introduced. This option supports an external load or high availability load when any accelerator specified on the load job is unavailable (for example OFFLINE or FLATLINE). Based on the value set for ACCEL_WHEN_UNAVAILABLE in the Loader started task, it will either load the accelerators that are available for load (CONTINUE) or will fail the entire load and will not load any of the accelerators (FAIL).
