Removing replication policies

You can use the management GUI or command-line interface (CLI) to delete a replication policy. You can remove a replication policy when it is not associated with any volume groups.

Using management GUI

  1. In the management GUI, select Volumes > Volume Groups.
  2. On the Volume Groups page, select the volume groups from which you need to remove the associated replication policy.
  3. Under the Policies tab, click Manage Replication Policy. Only eligible replication policies that can be removed or changed are displayed in the table.
  4. Click the new replication policy that you want to apply to the volume groups.
  5. To remove the replication policy, select the existing replication policy from the table and click Remove replication policy from the volume group.
Note: When you remove a replication policy from a volume group, the copy of the volume group and the volumes are deleted from the remote system.
  6. Click Apply changes.

Using command-line interface

chvolumegroup -noreplicationpolicy <volumegroup_id_or_name>
where -noreplicationpolicy command unassigned or remove the replication policy from the volume group. The volume_group_id_name specifies the name or the ID of the volume group from which the policy is removed.
