Outbound Files - Failed
To display and manage outbound files in the platform, go to the Messaging menu and click on Live Board. In the section Outbound Files, you can see different boxes that contain outbound files in different statuses.
In this document we are going to learn about outbound files with the failed status.
File details are restricted to specific roles. If you do not have access to this part of the platform and need to display some file details, please contact your administrator.
How do outbound files go to the failed queue?
In the platform, some specific processing of transactions or the outbound file can change the status of the outbound file to “Failed”:
-
Transformation issue: Based on the configuration available on the channel associated with the transactions, an outbound file is generated using all transactions ready to be sent and part of the same bulking configuration. The outbound file will follow the format selected on the channel configuration. Still, if there are missing mandatory fields or not well-formatted fields generated into the outbound file, the status will be set as failed.
-
Connectivity issue: After the generation of the outbound file, during the sending to the next correspondent, if the platform is not able to connect to the new correspondent (for example client MQ, SFTP, API, or a network like SWIFT), the status will be set as failed.
How to identify the reason for the failure?
Outbound files with the status "Failed" are files whose processing has failed. In order to correct the right information or to avoid this scenario on your file, you must first identify the reason for this failure and then define the changes to be made.
To identify the file failure reason, within the Live Board > Outbound Files section:
-
Click on the “Files failed” queue to display the list of files.
-
Find the file you want to view within this list.
-
Click on Details to display the whole file information.
-
Use the View state button to know the status reason. The State reason will display the rejection reason.
In this example, there is a transformation issue due to a missing mandatory field.
How to correct a file?
A user can not correct an outbound file failed. You will need to contact support.
