Determining the installed and active software components

Once you have installed or upgraded IBM® Spectrum Conductor, you can use the Installed and Active Software Components page within the cluster management console to review the software packages and versions that are installed. Additionally, this page shows the active version of each software installed.

About this task

This page is useful in the following installation and upgrade scenarios:
  • If you are performing a rolling upgrading of your IBM Spectrum Conductor cluster, this page is helpful to view the progress after you upgrade each host.
  • In a multiple product environment (for example, with IBM Spectrum Symphony or IBM Spectrum LSF®), you might have multiple versions of the same software on your host. Use this page to see which version is the active one.
  • After you have installed IBM Spectrum Conductor, use this page to verify that you have successfully installed the packages and versions required.

Procedure

  1. From the cluster management console, select System & Services > Software Components.
  2. Review a summary of the software that is installed on the cluster:
    • The Software packages installed in the cluster field lists all the IBM Spectrum Conductor software packages installed. In a multiple product environment with other IBM Spectrum Computing family products, those software packages are also listed.
    • The Active EGO version field shows the installed version of EGO that the cluster is using.
    • The Active SOAM version field shows the installed version of SOAM (if IBM Spectrum Symphony is installed) that the cluster is using.
    • The Active Conductor with Spark version field lists the version of IBM Spectrum Conductor.
  3. Review details about the installed and active software on each host within the cluster. A table lists the software names and versions for each host.
  4. Optional: You can customize the columns visible from this table by clicking Settings, selecting the columns that you want to display, and then clicking OK.
Note: The List of fixes column is used in a multiple product environment with IBM Spectrum Symphony and is available only for Windows.
