Starting the cluster

Start your cluster by starting EGO on all the hosts in your cluster.

About this task

  • You must log on with root permissions, if you installed IBM® Spectrum Conductor as root. By default, only root can start, stop, or restart the cluster. If you didn’t install as root, you must start the cluster with the cluster administrator ID.

    Optionally, grant root privileges to egoadmin, the cluster administrator account. See Setting additional configurations on a host.

  • You must use rsh to remotely start each host in the cluster. Ensure that rsh is available on each host in the cluster.

Procedure

Start EGO on all hosts in the cluster: 
egosh ego start all
