Starting instance groups

Start an instance group after it is created or deployed.

Before you begin

You must be a cluster administrator, consumer administrator, or have the Instance Groups View, Instance Groups Control, Services View and Services Control permissions to start an instance group.

About this task

You can start an instance group when it is in the Ready state.

Procedure

  1. From the cluster management console, select Workload > Instance Groups.
  2. Select one or more of the instance groups that you want to start.
  3. Click Start.

Results

The instance group moves to the Processing state, after which it progresses to either the Started or Error states.

What to do next

Click the Services tab to check the state of services that are associated with the instance group.
