You can use the global actions with any of the Datacap applications.

Datacap 64-bit action libraries

Datacap supported image types
Datacap supports different input files and formats as an image input for the recognition and other different tasks.

dcpdf actions (deprecated)
Use the dcpdf actions to convert PDF files to TIFF at the start of the workflow. You can also convert the TIFF files in a document into a PDF file. This action library is deprecated. Instead, use the actions in Convert, OCRA and OCRS.
DocumentAnalytics actions
Use the DocumentAnalytics actions to identify the content type of text blocks and extract data elements from the page layout file.
DocumentAnalytics.NaturalLanguageClassifier actions
Natural Language Classifier is an IBM Watson service, which can be trained to classify documents or sections of documents. That based on the text that is contained in the document or the section of a document. The default instance name: DocumentAnalytics.NaturalLanguageClassifierActions.
DocumentProcessing actions
Use the actions in this action library to work with IBM Automation Document Processing.
Email actions
Use the email actions to compose and then send an email by using CDOSYS and an SMTP server. These actions also support Outlook, which requires the Outlook user to be logged on to the computer and security prompts might be displayed for each message.
Email.MSGraph
The email action library that uses the Microsoft Graph API. This action library allows creation of an email at run time, with optional attachments. The emails are sent by using a Microsoft Office 365 account. The email recipient, subject, and body can be set at run time. If attachments are added to the email, they have total size limit of 3 MB. The actions in this action library must be used together and cannot be mixed with other email action libraries.
Equalize actions
Use the Equalize action to equalize the x and y resolutions of an image.
Ewsmail actions
Use the Ewsmail actions to import image file attachments from an Exchange Server into the current batch by using Exchange Web Service (EWS).
Export actions (deprecated)
Use the Export actions to set up and write information to the export text file.
ExportDB actions (deprecated)
Use the ExportDB actions to set up and write information to an export database. You build the record in memory before you commit it to the database by using AddRecord.
ExportToDatabase actions
This action library used to export the page level and field level values into the table in Database.
ExportToText actions
The ExportToText action library provides actions that will export field values, DCO variables, batch information and other text to a plain text export file. The export file can be in a UTF-8 or UTF-16 format.
ExportToXML actions
ExportToXML library is used to generate the XMl File.

FileIO actions
The FileIO action library provides a set of actions that are oriented to directory and file manipulation.

FingerprintMaintenance actions
Use the FingerprintMaintenance actions to delete fingerprints from the fingerprint library of the application.
FPXML actions
Use the FPXML actions to store zone coordinates in an external XML file instead of the document hierarchy (setup DCO). These actions are useful for porting fingerprints between systems or to avoid making frequent modifications to the document hierarchy.
Grayscale actions
Use the Grayscale action to convert grayscale TIFF images to black-and-white.
HandwritingRecognition actions
This action library provides actions to allow the user to recognize hand printed or cursive text in zone and recognize hand printed United States addresses by using a postal database.
IBMCM actions
Use the IBMCM actions to upload documents into an IBM Content Manager Connector repository.
IBMCMExtended actions
IBMCMExtended actions integrate Datacap applications with the IBM Content Manager repository.
ImageConvert actions
Use the ImageConvert actions to combine image files or to convert image files to JPEG or TIFF.
ImageFix actions
The ImageFix actions are older versions of the DCImageFix action. Use the DCImageFix actions instead.
ImageUtilities actions
Use the ImageUtilities actions to adjust and convert images.
Imail actions
Use the Imail actions to import image attachments from a mail server into the current batch by using IMAP.
Imprint actions
Use the Imprint actions to imprint text over an image, or for blackout or whiteout redactions.
Intellocate actions (deprecated)
Use the Intellocate actions to update the existing field position information in the document hierarchy (setup DCO) or to add position information for a new fingerprint. This action library is deprecated. Refer the new Intellocate actions library.

Invoice actions
Use the Invoice actions to process invoices by using the Datacap Accounts Payable application.
IOverlay actions
Use the IOverlay actions to combine the current page image with a background image. You can use this action to reapply a form background that dropped out during scanning.

Use the Locate actions in combination with full text recognition to locate words or regular expressions on the page. And to move around the page by line or word.

Lookup actions
Use the Lookup actions to validate field values by using database lookups and populate fields with lookup results.
LookupDatabase
Use the LookupDatabase actions to perform queries for the Lookup database.
MC_Identify
Use the MC_Identify actions to identify claim forms in a batch.
MC_Validation
Use the MC_Validation actions to validate medical claim form information.
mvscan actions
The mvscan action library contains actions that control how a Datacap application ingests files such as images scanned as TIF images or electronic documents such as PDF, so they can be processed. Use these actions to create batches from files on disk, typically on a network file share. The input files may be image files produced by a Multifunction Device (MFD) or fax, or arbitrary files selected for processing.
Maintenance Manager actions
The Maintenance Manager actions are divided into setup, batch processing, logging, and reporting categories.
OCR_J actions (deprecated)
The OCR_J actions use the Rosetta Stone Japanese OCR engine to perform OCR for Japanese machine print and Japanese handwriting. These actions are now deprecated. Use OCR/A or OCR/S actions to perform Japanese recognition.
OCR_A actions
Use the OCR_A actions to do text recognition by using the FineReader OCR engine.
OCR_SR actions
The OCR/SR action library provides actions that perform recognition and rotation of images using the OCR/S engine. Page and field level recognition can be performed which can then be processed by actions in other libraries and ultimately displayed to the user for verification. Machine print and hand print text can be recognized.
OpenTextFaxServer actions
Use the OpenTextFaxServer actions to import faxes from an OpenTextFaxServer.
PatternMatch actions
Use the PatternMatch actions for pattern-based page identification and for page registration (alignment). Page registration is important when you are working with OMR check boxes.

Actions that use page 'anchors' to adjust zones.
Picture actions (deprecated)
Use the Picture actions to do field validations by picture strings. Picture strings define the supported format of a field such as a social security number, phone number, date. These actions are now deprecated. Use PictureCharacterValidation actions library.

The PictureCharacterValidation action library contains actions that are specialized validation actions that verify and adjust individual characters and their confidence within a field.
POLR actions
Use the POLR action matches line items from your invoice image to the corresponding purchase order.

The OCR_A action library performs full page and field level recognition on images.
Recog_Shared actions (deprecated)
Use the Recog_Shared actions to do various fingerprint and recognition-related functions. This action library is deprecated.

Redact actions
These actions are used for role based redactions.

Use the rrunner actions to do miscellaneous utility functions.

Actions that help control application logic within rulesets.
SharedRecognitionTools actions
The shared recognition tools actions expose helped actions that can be used after recognition using the different OCR libraries, such as RecognitionOCRA, OCR_SR, etc. Actions that can produce the layout XML include OCR_SR.Recognize and RecognitionOCRA.Recognize, both of which can process color images and PDF files. To use the Locate actions and perform click ‘n’ key during verification, use the action CreateCcoFromLayout to create a CCO file for the page after producing the layout XML file. The action RecognizePageXXX directly produces a CCO file.
SignatureValidation actions
Use the Signature Validation actions to detect and validate signatures on a document or zone.
SPExport actions
Use the SPExport actions to upload documents to a Microsoft SharePoint library.
Split actions (deprecated)
Use the Split action to split a batch into smaller batches so each can be processed separately.
Split Batch actions
Creates child batches from an existing batch.
Statistics actions
These statistics actions are used by the Profile Statistics and Export Statistics rulesets to save information about field recognition accuracy and page classification accuracy.
TifMerge actions (deprecated)
Use the TifMerge actions to combine individual TIFF images into a multi-page TIFF file. This action is typically run at the end of the workflow so that you can upload or release the batch images as a single file. This action library is deprecated. Refer TiffMultipageMerge actions
TiffMultipageMerge actions
Merges multiple image into a single multiple page TIFF image.
TM524 actions
The TM524 actions are for compatibility with older versions of Datacap and are no longer used
Validations actions (deprecated)
This action library is deprecated. Refer the ValidationsAndTextAdjustments action library.
ValidationsAndTextAdjustments
The Validations and Text Adjustments action library focus on actions that perform validation and manipulation of recognized text within an application.
Vote actions (deprecated)
Use the Vote action when you do multi-pass data entry to check whether the first and second passes match.
VoteUsingComparativeText actions
Voting is a method of comparing recognition results from two calls of recognition, or data entry from two different users, and determine if the data entered is identical or if there is a mismatch. Voting is used with field data or field recognition, not full page recognition.
Vscan actions
Use the Vscan actions to create a batch by using existing image files.
watsonx.ai actions
Default instance name: watsonx_ai.Actions.
Web Services actions
This library of actions facilitates communication with external web services. You can use these actions to retrieve formatted responses or image files. The actions can handle both XML and JSON formatted responses, with XML as the default choice. You will need to know the web service's endpoint, any applicable parameters, and the response type before using these actions.
Zones actions
Use the Zones actions to work with the zones that define the position of each field on the page.
