Datacap Navigator user settings

Configure the layout and behavior of Datacap Navigator by changing your user settings. To change the user settings from any Datacap Navigator view, click the user ID drop-down menu and select Change User Settings.

For example, you can configure the following layouts and behaviors:
  • Specify the station ID that you want to log in to.
  • Arrange the widgets for the scan task page.
  • Automatically submit a batch after the upload task is completed.
  • Automatically override a validation failure during verification.
  • Reset user settings:

If you want to reset the user settings (to default values), then add the resetDCUserSetting=true parameter to the URL to log in to Datacap Navigator. This parameter can reset the user settings for the login user.

  • Change user settings to switch to last page or first page after scanning is completed in Datacap Navigator. You can use this configuration in user settings to choose whether the cursor and highlight must be on the first page after scanning. To enable this setting, in the scan user settings, use the Show the first page after scanning check box. When you select this check box, the cursor and highlight is on the first page after scanning. By default, the check box is not selected. That means the cursor and highlight is on the last page.

This user setting is available only for Daeja virtual viewer and local rendering viewer.

  • Change user settings to enable or disable the Local Profile in Datacap Navigator. You can control the settings to enable or disable the local profile. To enable this setting, use the Enable local profile check box on scan user settings page. By default, the check box is selected. After the user disables the local profile, the local profile defined in task settings does not start.
  • You can switch between Fit to Width and Fit to Height in the user settings.

This setting applies to Scan, Verify, Classify, SpeedScan and SpeedIndex tabs with Daeja HTML Viewer and Local Rendering Viewer. You can select Fit To Height or Fit to Width from the menu when viewing an image in Daeja Viewer. The new selected setting retain for this logon session with Daeja HTML Viewer and Local Viewer.
