Administering hardware resources
Use this menu to
administer the hardware resources in the system, including compute
nodes, management nodes, storage devices, network devices, and external
access networks.
Administering compute nodes
Administering the compute nodes in the system includes day to day operations such as: starting, initializing, and maintaining compute nodes.
Administering management nodes
Administering the management nodes in the system includes day to day operations such as powering on and powering off management nodes.
Viewing the hardware infrastructure
The infrastructure map provides a consolidated view of the hardware details in your system. From there, you can view information about your racks, switches, nodes, and chassis . Additionally, you can monitor the status, LEDs, temperature, and performance of the rack units in the system.
Viewing the network topology
The network topology is a console page that gives a consolidated view of the networking details in your system. From there, you can view information about your links, your compute nodes, and their virtual machines.
Viewing the LED status
Monitoring the LED status of the hardware resources is a good practice to stay up-to-date about events and problems, if any, with your system resources.
Increasing the size for a data store
Use the console to increase the size of a particular data store that virtual machines are running on. This operation is useful if you want to create a snapshot for a virtual machine on the data store and the snapshot will not fit in a data store of the default size of 1.8 TB.
