Deployment of promoted virtual system pattern fails due to insufficient resources

When attempting to deploy a promoted virtual system pattern, the deployment fails due to insufficient resources.

Symptoms

You promoted a classic virtual system pattern, but when you attempt to deploy the resulting virtual system pattern, the deployment fails with the error: CWZKS0075E: The virtual image in the pattern does not meet the requirements for part name, which has these requirements: disk size: <required disk size> MB, processor: <required number of processors>, and memory: <required memory> MB. The virtual image in the pattern provides these resources: disk size: <disk size> MB, processors: <number of processors>, and memory: <memory> MB.

Resolving the problem

The promoted virtual system pattern might require more memory than the classic virtual system pattern because of plug-ins, script packages, and other components that are needed for the virtual system pattern.

Edit the virtual system pattern to allocate more memory to the pattern before you deploy it.
