API integration

Fulfillment Optimizer is an order optimization engine that relies on receipt of real-time orders to learn and determine the best possible outcome during fulfillment of an order. Fulfillment Optimizer requires integration with IBM® Sterling Order Management System to get the required orders.

IBM Sterling Order Management System integrates with Fulfillment Optimizer every time an order is scheduled. In order to integrate the order management scheduling, you must complete a synchronous integration by calling the Optimizer APIs when the schedule process runs. You can also optionally complete an asynchronous integration to evaluate how you might benefit from using Fulfillment Optimizer and to test the integration.

Note: Fulfillment Optimizer supports optimizations for every promising and allocation call from IBM Sterling Order Management System. However, it is recommended that only scheduleOrder API calls be sent to Fulfillment Optimizer.
