Change to ASCII file encoding for request monitoring exits and CICS request exits

This information describes the changes to file encoding that you need to consider when upgrading from V9.0 or earlier.

The Gateway daemon now uses file encoding set to ISO-8859-1 rather than an EBCDIC file encoding. Any request monitoring exits or CICS request exits active in the Gateway daemon will default to using ISO-8859-1 when reading or writing files unless they specify a different file encoding. You will need to change any exit classes that read or write files with EBCDIC encoding.
