Location of the installation logs on Windows
Errors and warnings generated during the installation of CICS® Transaction Gateway are recorded in the appropriate log file.
Use the log files to diagnose any problems that cause an installation to fail. Any existing log files are overwritten by a new installation.
The following log files are created on Windows after a completed installation:
- <install_path>\installlogs\cicstgInstall.log
- <install_path>\installlogs\cicstgMessages.log
- <install_path>\installlogs\cicstgSymlinks.log
- <install_path>\installlogs\cicstgCRuntimeLibsInstall32.log
- <install_path>\installlogs\cicstgCRuntimeLibsInstall64.log (64-bit operating systems only)
- <install_path>\installlogs\cicstgFind.log
If the installation fails or the installation is canceled,
the following log files are created on Windows:
- %TMP%\cicstgInstall.log
- %TMP%\cicstgFind.log
- %TMP%\cicstgUninstall.log
