Contract Collaboration

Contract collaboration is done among the users of a party.

Definition

Contract collaboration refers to the actions that the members of a party complete to ensure that all appropriate individuals therein participate in the content of the contract. During collaboration, members review the contract and suggest changes by adding comments. If the users have appropriate permissions, they can directly modify the contract.

Methods of collaboration

For internal users, contract collaboration occurs in the following ways:

  • Through the Emptoris Contract Management application by assigning tasks to all required reviewers online.
  • Through email by sending interactive notifications with attachments, or by saving the contract language to a file and sending it.

For external users, collaboration occurs by using Emptoris® Contract Management to assign tasks to all required reviewers online, or can be done by email.

Collaboration activities of external users

External users can collaborate by completing the following tasks.

  • Email notification and tasks: Send email messages with or without tasks. You can configure the notifications by using the various notification features. You can send the following notifications and tasks.
    • Send review contract tasks and notifications.
    • Decline tasks and reassign tasks to different users.
    • Change the substatus of contracts.
    • Configure automatic notifications and tasks.
  • Print contract data, contract summary, and quote, or save to a file.
  • Comments: Add comments that are visible to all parties or to your party only.
  • Revisions: View revisions of language and other components.
  • Language activities: Edit the language of the contract.
  • Notes: Enter notes for administrative purposes.
  • Activities: View the presentation activities.
  • Properties: Change or apply terms for tracking and change values of custom properties.
