Collaboration and Negotiation Process

Internal and external users can collaborate for contracts within their own parties and negotiate with the other party.

Collaboration

Collaboration is done among the users of the same party to review or approve contracts.

Negotiation

Negotiation is done between the internal and external party to modify, finalize, and accept, contracts.

Process

The following collaboration and negotiation activities take place for a contract.

  1. After a contract is created, internal users review the contract, or request other members of their party to review the contract.
  2. Internal users request other members of their party to approve the contract.
  3. Internal users present the contract to the external parties.
  4. External users collaborate with other members of their party to review the contract.
  5. The primary external contact who is assigned the Negotiate task sends the contract back to the internal parties with changes.
  6. The primary internal contact reviews the changes and accepts or rejects them.
  7. After all changes are finalized, the internal party executes the contract.
  8. An approval may be required by internal users for executing the contract.

After the contract is executed, it becomes Active on the effective start date.
