Running the Extraction tool in the Pre-Extract Mode for Emptoris Spend Analysis

After you configure the extraction tool files, you can run the extraction tool in the pre-extract mode

Files generated

When you run the extraction tool in the pre-extract mode to extract data for Emptoris® Spend Analysis, the following files are generated in the output directory of the extraction tool:

data_assessment_log.xlsx
currency_codes.xlsx
Note: The currency_codes.xlsx file is empty.
RegionMapping.xlsx
This file is not applicable for Emptoris Spend Analysis.

Note: After the files are generated, if you re-run the extraction tool in the pre-extract mode again, the generated files are overwritten. If required, take a backup of the previously generated files before you re-run the tool in the pre-extract mode.

Tasks for formatting data

After you run the extraction tool in the pre-extract mode, you must perform the Data Assessment for Emptoris Spend Analysistask. For more information about data assessment, see Data Assessment for Emptoris Sourcing.
