Annotating table fields
To annotate a table field, you must capture data from the column, summary, and additional headers.
Procedure
- Select the table field from the field list.
- Under Table title, click Draw. If your table does not have a title, go to step 4.
- Use the mouse to draw a bounding box around the title for this table field. Make any necessary corrections to the text captured in the label text box.
- Under Table area, click Draw.
- Use the mouse to draw a bounding box around the entire table, including any summary fields or additional fields.
- Click Capture table data.
- For each table header, click Draw under Header location. Draw a bounding box around the column header for that column. Repeat this step until all table headers are captured.
- Optional: Under Table rows, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the first rows of the table (up to four). This helps the model capture the table, especially if grid lines around the rows are not clear, or if the column headers contain multiple lines of text.
- Optional: Under Table cell data, click Annotate cells and draw a bounding box or type in the value for any cell in the table. You can only annotate table cells for annotated table rows.
- For each Summary header:
- Under Field label, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the label for this summary header.
- Under Field value, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the value for this summary header.
- For each Additional header:
- Under Field label, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the label for this additional header.
- Under Field value, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the value for this additional header.
- Click Done to save this field.
- For the table field and each header, you can see and edit the aliases for this field. Aliases are alternative names that can help the model identify this field. As you extract data, names that are found in documents are added to this list. Aliases must be unique for each field within a document type.
- In the main field list, click Save selection to save the table field.
