Option 1: (Recommended) Installing a starter deployment by running scripts
You can install the Cloud Pak capabilities that you want by running the cluster admin
script and the deployment script. The cluster admin script can be run on the command-line interface
(CLI) or in silent mode.
Setting up the cluster with the admin script
To install the Cloud Pak capabilities with the Cloud Pak operator, a cluster administrator user must run a script to set up the cluster. They also need to provide a non-administrator user the information that they need to be able to run the deployment script. Each Cloud Pak capability can be installed with extra components. Postgres and OpenLDAP are always installed.
Setting up the cluster in silent mode
A cluster administrator user can set up a cluster by running a script in silent mode. A set of environment variables are needed before the script can be run in silent mode.
Installing the capabilities by running the deployment script
Depending on the capabilities that you want to install, the deployment script prepares the environment and then installs the selected automation containers.
Validating your starter deployment
Instead of manually checking all the URLs and certificates that are created by your deployment, you can run a script to validate these objects automatically in a few minutes.
