Terminating an element validation rule

Procedure

  1. Click Rules > External Validation > Element Validations.

    The Element Validation page opens.

  2. Select the group that contains the element validation rule you want to terminate from the Group list and click Go.

    A list of all the group's elements is populated.

  3. Click the Magnifying Glass icon next to the element that contains the element validation rule you want to terminate.

    The element's validation rules are populated under the element.

  4. Click the name of the validation rule you want to terminate under the Function Name column.

    The Element Validation Details page opens.

  5. Click Terminate.
    Note: When you terminate a validation rule, you are applying an end date to it in the database table. Once you terminate a validation rule, you cannot reactive it using the Administration application.

    A confirmation message asks you to confirm your action.

  6. Click OK.
