There are numerous methods for invoking InfoSphere® MDM services.
Some methods are part of the InfoSphere MDM product
and others are components in a client's environment.
InfoSphere MDM user
interfaces
InfoSphere MDM supports
user interfaces to help manage stored information:
- The Administration Web application is used to configure InfoSphere MDM.
For example, this UI is used for maintaining code tables, users, groups,
external validations, and so on.
- The Data Stewardship Web application is
used for general party maintenance, group and hierarchy maintenance
and as part of suspect processing. The UI can be used to add and update
party information, search for parties marked as suspects, collapse,
undo collapse, split suspect parties, and so on.
- The Product Maintenance Web application is used
for maintenance of product data in InfoSphere MDM.
The UI can be used to view, add, and edit all stored product information,
including attribute values, terms and conditions, product categories,
product identifiers, and more.
Client interfaces
The way
InfoSphere MDM is
integrated in to a business environment is different for each implementation,
as it depends on the system architecture, tools and technical limitations
and constraints. Possible ways of invoking
InfoSphere MDM services
through the Request-Response processor include:
- An ESB, MQ broker or EAI broker
- Dashboard or portal user interfaces
- Client applications such as CRM and back-office administration
systems
InfoSphere MDM components
InfoSphere MDM uses
a set of common components that are not product or domain specific.
