Attribute Dictionary Managers manage the content of the
attribute dictionary modeled as a InfoSphere® MDM Collaboration Server hierarchy.
As an attribute dictionary manager, you are responsible for the
following:
- CRUD (create, retrieve, update, and delete) of attribute dictionary
- meta-data management (for example, lookup values)
- create descriptive attributes
- create defining attributes
- update attributes
The Attribute Dictionary Manager specifies and edits the
reusable attribute definitions of the Advanced Catalog Management
attribute dictionary which are later exported into the commerce system
to become WebSphere® Commerce
defining attributes and WebSphere Commerce
descriptive attributes. The use case will be restricted to assure
that the resulting updates are permitted in the WebSphere Commerce attribute dictionary.
The Content Editor and Content Manager can only work with already
created attributes of the Advanced Catalog Management attribute dictionary.
