Impact analysis collection
Use this page to view the collection of entities that might be impacted by changes to the selected document or metadata type.
- Select an entity from a collection.
- Switch to the Impact Analysis tab.
- Specify the impact analysis options.
- Click Go.
You can change the maximum number of rows to be displayed when the collection is large. Click Preferences if the Maximum rows entry field is not visible, then type the required value in the entry field and click Apply to use the new value. The default is 20 rows.
To sort the collection in alphabetical order by a specific column, click the title of the column. Repeatedly clicking the same column title toggles between ascending and descending sort order. You can also click the icon alongside the column title to sort by that column. This icon indicates the sort status as follows:

The collection is not sorted by this column.
: The collection is sorted in ascending order by this column.
: The collection is sorted in descending order by this column.
Note that if you change the sort order of a collection, and the collection is displayed over two or more pages, then the currently displayed page will be reset to the first page of the collection.
To view the details of an entity in the impact analysis collection, click the entity name in the list. The appropriate details page for the entity type is displayed.
- Name
- Specifies the name of the entity.
- Graph
- Click the icon in this column for any entity in the collection to display that entity in a graphical view.
- Description
- Specifies the user-provided description of the entity.
- Object Type
- Specifies the entity type, for example WSDL document.
- Version
- Specifies the version of the entity, as defined on the entity details page.
- Impact Relationship
- Specifies whether the entity is depended on by, or depends on, the selected document or metadata type.
- Relationship Name
- Specifies the name of the relationship.
- Originating Object
- Specifies the object for which the impact analysis results apply.
