Release notes - November 2025
Application build: 2.37.46
As IBM Support Insights (IBM SI) continues to evolve, here are the details of the application's current progress.
Fixed issues and upgrades
Following is a list of improvements and new implementations in the application.
New login look
- The application's login page has been redesigned and its theme is now consistent with the SI display theme.
- The new login page offers a smoother and improved user experience, drastically lowering the probability of a login loop or blank page error.
- Users will not be mandated to clear cache&cookies prior to logging in and automatically be taken to their latest viewed client account upon login.
Chatbot
- The number predefined set of questions users can choose from when interacting with the chatbot is now expanded, encompassing the entire application and its functionalities.
- Users can now inquire about multiple assets from their inventory at once, getting immediate insights about their overall inventory status.
- The chatbot can now compile downloadable files with detailed data relating to the particular inquiry, which the user can then open and analyze on their local device.
Inventory management
- The Call home widget is now augmented with the introduction of two new categories.
- Users can now see their covered and transmitting devices as a percentage of all call home assets, while also having the option of seeing their total count in the asset details table.
- The number of covered devices that are not transmitting are now displayed as a clickable link in the widget, taking users to the full list in the asset details table.
Case metrics
- A new widget is now introduced to the Case metrics page of the application, providing users with immediate knowledge of their currently open cases
- The open cases widget also contains a relative comparison between the volume of open cases today and that of 30 days ago, displayed as a percentage.
- The new widget also indicates how many of all open cases are of the highest severity, allowing users to easily spot items most urgently requiring attention.
TAM reports
- Users creating new reports now have the capability of applying domain filters on the devices they wish to include or exclude from the report.
- A total of four domain categories are now available for applying - AIX/IBMi, Storage, Power, and Linux - allowing users to further specify their report.
- When applied, the new domain filters affect all of the draft reports in the particular client account, allowing users to segment out the devices they wish to view in the entire TAM reports page.
Known issues and limitations
Following is a brief outline of usability constraints or challenges in the current version of the application.
| Area | Issue | Workaround |
|---|---|---|
| Inventory management - General | The values in the Uncovered section of the Hardware coverage widget could contain duplicates. | To be fixed in a future release.
As a temporary workaround, you can export the data and have the duplicated values removed based on the devices' serial number. |
| Inventory management - General | The values in the Vendor recommended OS versions column are not searchable while in View services table mode. | To be fixed in a future release. |
| Inventory management - Coverage - Service diversity | The Service group names/labels might be inconsistent in the views of different users within the same client profile. | To be fixed in a future release.
As a temporary workaround, the different users with access to the same client profile can clear up their local cache and cookies prior to using IBM SI - that will sync up their service group labels view. |
| Risks & Recommendations - General | Some OS/Firmware alerts might be missing if multiple data collection methods are used. | To be fixed in a future release. |
