Release notes - October 2025

Application build: 2.36.33

As IBM Support Insights (IBM SI) continues to evolve, here are the details of the application's current progress.

Fixed issues and upgrades

Following is a list of improvements and new implementations in the application.

Inventory management

  • The Inventory management's widgets section is now augmented with the introduction of the Call Home widget.
  • The new widget allows you at-a-glance view of how many assets you have with a heartbeat.
  • The introduced breakdown of assets into the covered and uncovered group facilitates a speedy analysis of the devices' coverage and activity states.
  • Using the multisearch functionality in the asset details tables is now an optimized experience allowing for only full serial numbers search, thus limiting the number or errors or unrecognized parts of serial numbers.
  • A service group name normalization process has been introduced, which may lead to a change in the Service Group names/IDs you see in the Coverage sub-tab of the Inventory management page.

TAM reports

  • Published TAM reports can now be shared between users with a direct URL link.
  • Published TAM reports are now paginated and work as a dynamic consolidated information export rather than a static one.

General updates

  • In the Coverage tab of the Asset details page each warranty item now also has its own separate service line item and contract number.
  • The Users table in the Administration page of the application can now be sorted by any column available, allowing for an improved experience when reviewing access to a client account.
  • The new version of the Technical Support Appliance - 3.1.0.0 - is now available. You can find full details in the respective page.

Known issues and limitations

Following is a brief outline of usability constraints or challenges in the current version of the application.

Area Issue Workaround
Inventory management - General The values in the Uncovered section of the Hardware coverage widget could contain duplicates. To be fixed in a future release.

As a temporary workaround, you can export the data and have the duplicated values removed based on the devices' serial number.

Inventory management - General The values in the Vendor recommended OS versions column are not searchable while in View services table mode. To be fixed in a future release.
Inventory management - Coverage - Service diversity The Service group names/labels might be inconsistent in the views of different users within the same client profile. To be fixed in a future release.

As a temporary workaround, the different users with access to the same client profile can clear up their local cache and cookies prior to using IBM SI - that will sync up their service group labels view.

Risks & Recommendations - General Some OS/Firmware alerts might be missing if multiple data collection methods are used. To be fixed in a future release.
