As IBM Support Insights (IBM SI) continues to evolve, here are the details of the application's current progress.
Fixed issues and upgrades
Following is a list of improvements and new implementations in the application.
Service diversity
- The first dropdown menu on the Service diversity sub-tab of the Service analysis tab in the Inventory management page is now enabled with the addition of the Service groups option for visualizing inventory coverage segments.
- The new grouping functionality allows users to spot and address differing support options within the same product family, ensuring the avoidance of potential coverage mismatches.
General updates
- The tables in the Inventory management pages of the application are augmented with an additional data point - Site ID.
- The Case History table in the Case metrics page is now enhanced with the introduction of the Priority column.
Known issues and limitations
Following is a brief outline of usability constraints or challenges in the current version of the application.
| Area | Issue | Workaround |
|---|---|---|
| Inventory management - General | The values in the Uncovered section of the Hardware coverage widget could contain duplicates. | To be fixed in a future release. As a temporary workaround, you can export the data and have the duplicated values removed based on the devices' serial number. |
| Inventory management - General | The values in the Vendor recommended OS versions column are not searchable while in View services table mode. | To be fixed in a future release. |
| Inventory management - Coverage - Service diversity | The Service group names/labels might be inconsistent in the views of different users within the same client profile. | To be fixed in a future release. As a temporary workaround, the different users with access to the same client profile can clear up their local cache and cookies prior to using IBM SI - that will sync up their service group labels view. |
| Risks & Recommendations - General | Some OS/Firmware alerts might be missing if multiple data collection methods are used. | To be fixed in a future release. |
