As IBM Support Insights (IBM SI) continues to evolve, here are the details of the application's current progress.

Fixed issues and upgrades

Following is a list of improvements and new implementations in the application.

Chatbot enhancements

  • The entire chatbot experience throughout SI is now leveled up with the introduction of Generative AI (GenAI).
  • You can now inquire about a single asset's details directly in the chat, using the asset's serial number, and get the relevant information without ever clicking anything in the app itself.
  • You will also be able to get thorough direct "how-to" guidance from GenAI without manually visiting the app's user documentation.

Inventory management

  • The assets widget in the Inventory management page of the application is now enriched with the addition of a new service-level diversity data-related row.
  • The multi-items search experience is now improved - the app now displays how many invalid serial numbers your search request contains, and allows you to copy them (separated by a comma upon copy) for further work or investigation.

General updates

  • Users with access to multiple client accounts are now taken directly to the last one they viewed prior to logging out when they log back in.
  • New data points are now added to the Case History table in the Case metrics page.
  • New data points are added also to the Affected Inventory table on the Risks and recommendations page.
  • There are new data points introduced in the Case History table of the TAM reports as well, where one of the optional new columns is AI-powered.

Known issues and limitations

Following is a brief outline of usability constraints or challenges in the current version of the application.

Area Issue Workaround
Inventory management - General The values in the Uncovered section of the Hardware coverage widget could contain duplicates. To be fixed in a future release.

As a temporary workaround, you can export the data and have the duplicated values removed based on the devices' serial number.

Inventory management - General The values in the Vendor recommended OS versions column are not searchable while in View services table mode. To be fixed in a future release.
Risks & Recommendations - General Some OS/Firmware alerts might be missing if multiple data collection methods are used. To be fixed in a future release.
