As IBM Support Insights (IBM SI) continues to evolve, here are the details of the application's current progress.
Fixed issues and upgrades
Following is a list of improvements and new implementations in the application.
Inventory management
- A whole new sub-tab is available in the Coverage tab of the Inventory management page - Service analysis.
- Utilizing the new sub-tab, you can proactively identify and rectify coverage gaps leading to a better support experience.
- The Service analysis sub-tab provides an instant overview of your coterminous and non-coterminous services.
- In the Coterminous view you can also choose to view Assets with their corresponding simultaneously expiring (or not) services.
- The Inventory management header widgets are now expanded to include the new Coterminous category.
Case metrics
- The Case metrics page of IBM SI is now also equipped with header widgets.
- Using the widgets, you can get an at-a-glance view of your support journey for the given time-frame.
- You may also use the built-in links to filter out the Case history table at the end of the page whenever you wish to narrow down your view to a particular type of cases.
- The widget experience is tailored to each client's specific support experience by displaying their specific top 2 product families with the highest volumes of cases.
Change requests management
- When submitting change requests of the Change installation address and Terminate maintenance coverage types, you may now upload up to 5 files per request as supporting documents.
- Submitting change requests is now optimized to only allow submission for assets located within the same country, saving users the trouble of manually checking whether all selected assets match the requirement - the functionality will not be available if they do not.
General updates
- The Case history in the TAM reports page is enhanced with additional columns.
Known issues and limitations
Following is a brief outline of usability constraints or challenges in the current version of the application.

| Inventory management - General | The values in the Uncovered section of the Hardware coverage widget could contain duplicates. | To be fixed in a future release. As a temporary workaround, you can export the data and have the duplicated values removed based on the devices' serial number. |
