As IBM Support Insights (IBM SI) continues to evolve, here are the details of the application's current progress.

Fixed issues and upgrades

Following is a list of improvements and new implementations in the application.

Technical Account Manager (TAM) reports

  • There TAM reports page is now accessible to all users, with the following restrictions:
    • Users with admin access can create, edit, publish, archive and delete reports.
    • Users with non-admin access can view reports.

Alerts for an asset

  • The asset details page now contains a new tab - Alerts - where you can find particularly a list of alerts concerning the specific asset.
  • There are 4 alerts categories you can switch between in the new tab - Security, Coverage, OS/Firmware, and Hardware.
  • Each alert's row is expandable allowing a view of its summary and remediation recommendations.
  • The alert's name is a clickable field which is linked directly to the particular alert in the Risks and recommendations page of the application.

General improvements

  • The asset details tables in the application's Inventory management pages now have a new column selection dialog window where you can manage the visible data points and their order.
  • The SI chatbot can now respond to client-specific inventory questions, such as, for example, providing a list of highest risk assets.
  • A new optional data point is available in the Security section of the Asset analysis tab in Risks and recommendations - vendor notices.

Known issues and limitations

Following is a brief outline of usability constraints or challenges in the current version of the application.

Area Issue Workaround
Inventory management - General The values in the Vendor recommended OS versions column are not searchable while in View services table mode. To be fixed in a future release.
Risks & Recommendations - General Some OS/Firmware alerts might be missing if multiple data collection methods are used. To be fixed in a future release.
Risks & Recommendations - Hardware lifecycle The chart's months distribution is misaligned visually. To be fixed in a future release.
