Release notes - August 2024

Application build: 2.22.15

As IBM Support Insights (IBM SI) continues to evolve, here are the details of the application's current progress.

Fixed issues and upgrades

Following is a list of improvements and new implementations in the application.

Open source CVE analysis

  • An entirely new page is now added to the application - the Open source CVE analysis page - where users can find risk information about different software.
  • A configurable local filter is available with over 300 different software packages to choose from.
  • Users can get a quick, but detailed, overview of the selected software packages' risk state via the available CVEs, Releases, and StackOverflow entries graphs on the page.
  • The data available on the page can be downloaded in the form of a detailed report, both in .xlsx and .html file formats. Disclaimer: There may be an initial influx of CentOS dependencies-related false positive CVEs due to some of the packages' versioning. This will be handled in a future release.

Case metrics enhancements

  • The applied local filters are now visible and available as pills in the page, located immediately after its heading.
  • The field previously known as Country in the Case metrics page is now renamed to Case country allowing users easily distinguish between the asset's location and the country of origin for its related support cases.

General updates

  • When editing assets users can now also update the Vendor field - both from the Edit dialog and the Bulk update functionality.
  • The Support Status widget, located on the Asset details page, is now enriched with new icons that allow for at-a-glance estimation of the asset's status.
  • When downloading a Change requests report - users will be able to see a complete change requests history, including affected assets and related available details.
