Release notes - November 2022
Fixed issues
Following is a list of improvements and new implementations in the application.
General Inventory
- An improved user interface in the Inventory management section of the application and its tabs.
- The previous
Select allbutton in the View assets by left-hand-side table is now implemented as a check-mark selector within the table itself. - The default columns have been updated in all tables within the Inventory management section.
- The list of available columns in all inventory tables has been expanded and now includes
Installed at customer, Installed at customer number and Coverage status, which
are now also present in the
.csvfile downloaded when users export the inventory table data. - In addition to being able to export all table data using the
Export allbutton, users may now export all services data for their inventory using theExport services for allbutton in the table’s header. - Users may also export services only for their chosen sub-set of inventory by first
selecting the assets in the table and then clicking on the
Export services for selectedbutton in the table’s header. - A Last upload timestamp is now added to the Global inventory header box, providing users with insight as to when their inventory data was last updated.
Inventory coverage
- A complete interface makeover of the Coverage tab and its sub-tabs.
- The Coverage by group sub-tab now allows users to switch between viewing their assets grouped either by expiration time or expiration status. Expiration status is a new view that shows assets grouped by the type of coverage.
- In the by Time view of the sub-tab, users see their inventory grouped by each asset’s coverage expiration time and each group is represented in the circle diagram on the left-hand side of the tab. The legend on the right-hand side of the diagram is clickable.
- In the by Status view of the sub-tab, users see their inventory grouped by each asset’s coverage status and each group represented as a bar chart. The legend on the left-hand side of the graph is clickable.
- An entirely new coverage status for assets - Stopped, Canceled or Deleted - providing users with deeper insights into their inventory's coverage state.
- Users may also switch the view of the table’s contents using the first dropdown menu on the right-hand side of the sub-tab.
- Users may also filter their entire sub-tab view to show assets that only have warranty coverage data or all assets using the second dropdown menu on the right-hand side of the sub-tab.
- Selection within the View assets by table in the Coverage by geo sub-tab is also updated and now matches the View assets by table on the main Inventory tab.
Risks & recommendations
- Alerts are now marked as read when they are viewed for 3 seconds. These alerts stay in the default alert list, but the blue unread dot is cleared. Alerts can also be marked as unread to help users identify alerts that they want to return to later.
- Alerts can now be ignored or un-ignored, allowing users to filter their view according to
their alert preferences. Ignoring an alert removes it from the default alert list. The
Show ignored alertsfilter button shows users all their ignored alerts. - The alerts list can now be sorted ascending and descending by alert priority.
- Users can also search for alerts from the top of the alert list to quickly find alerts using a key word in the alert summary.
INS Pro
- An entirely new functionality is now introduced - Hardware lifecycle - where users can get detailed insights into their at-risk hardware.
- Assets are presented in product family groups, allowing users to dive deeper in specific asset subsets using the product family names as filters.
- Assets are sorted according to their hardware risk by default, in a descending manner, focusing the users' attention to the most at-risk portions of the inventory.
