Workflow
First install on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform the operators that have no dependency on another, then use z/OS Cloud Broker to install the suboperators for z/OS and provision instances of products for use on Red Hat® OpenShift® or other platforms.
Install certified operators on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform
There is no dependency among the cloud native operators; you can install them as needed. For detailed instructions, see Installing the products.
Next steps:
- If you install z/OS® Cloud Broker, you can then install suboperators on z/OS as described in Install suboperators through z/OS Cloud Broker.
- Provision an instance and use its features on Red Hat® OpenShift® or other platforms as described in Provision and use instances on Red Hat OpenShift or other platforms.
Install suboperators through z/OS Cloud Broker
After z/OS Cloud Broker is installed, you can use it to create z/OS endpoints and import suboperators that will interact against your z/OS endpoints. For optimal performance, there is a recommended sequence for installing the suboperators. See Installing the products.
Next step:
- Connect to z/OS from other platforms such as Red Hat® OpenShift® or VS Code.
Provision and use instances on Red Hat OpenShift or other platforms
Depending on the products that you installed, you can provision or use instances on Red Hat® OpenShift®, Docker, or VS Code. (Wazi for Dev Spaces and Wazi for VS Code are the IDEs delivered by Wazi Code.)
