Removing a cloud account or SaaS application connection

You can remove a cloud account or SaaS application that is connected with IBM® Guardium® Exposure Manager, as required. With this feature, you have enhanced control to manage the monitored data stores. You can remove a cloud account or SaaS application connection to release IBM Guardium Exposure Manager analyzer resources that can be put to use in some other new account.

Before you begin

Note:
  • You can remove the main account of a cloud provider only after you have removed all the other non-main cloud accounts of the same cloud provider that are connected with IBM Guardium Exposure Manager.
  • If you have more than one SaaS application account connected with IBM Guardium Exposure Manager, removing one SaaS application accounts removes the connection with all SaaS application accounts.
  • Removal of a Slack account connection is not supported.

About this task

Use the following steps to remove the connection of one or more cloud accounts or SaaS application accounts that are connected with IBM Guardium Exposure Manager.

Procedure

  1. From the main menu, click Management hub > Connections.
  2. On the Connections page, expand the required cloud provider, and then click a row of the cloud account or SaaS application that you want to remove.
  3. On the side panel, click Remove connection.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions provided in the Disconnect from provider tab of the Remove connection dialog box, and then click Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions provided in the Confirm disconnection tab of the Remove connection dialog box, select the check box to remove the connection, and then click Disconnect permanently.
    If the cloud account or SaaS application connection is removed successfully, you are notified through a UI message. If the removal fails, you are requested to contact IBM Guardium support.
