Connecting IBM® Guardium® Exposure Manager with SaaS applications enables you to discover sensitive data that is stored and shared in the SaaS applications.
Before you begin
You can connect IBM Guardium Exposure Manager with any of the following SaaS applications:
- Slack
- Google Drive
- Atlassian Jira
- Atlassian Confluence
- Microsoft™ 365
- Snowflake
Verify that you have the following before you start the process of connecting a SaaS application with IBM Guardium Exposure Manager:
- A user with administrator permissions that can create OAuth connection in the relevant SaaS application
- The administrator user must be logged in to IBM Guardium Exposure Manager
- Specifically for Google Drive, you need to perform a few steps that must be done outside of IBM Guardium Exposure Manager

Use the following steps to connect IBM Guardium Exposure Manager with SaaS applications.
Procedure

From the main menu, click .

On the Connections page, click Add connection.

On the Add connection page, select the SaaS application that you want to connect with IBM Guardium Exposure Manager, and then click Next.

In the wizard that adds the connection to the selected SaaS application, follow the on-screen instructions to connect, authorize, and validate the connection.
The connection is either successful or a failure. A failed connection can be due to invalid connection IDs, invalid authorization parameters, or failed server connections.
Note:
- If the connection of a SaaS application fails, the SaaS application is listed in the Connections page with the Connect button in the Status column. You can click the Connect button to retry the connection.
- If the authorization of a SaaS application fails, the SaaS application is listed in the Connections page with the Status as Missing authorization. You can click the Missing authorization status, and then click the Authorize button in the pop-up message to retry the authorization.
