Managing OAuth clients

You can authorize external applications to access the IBM® Guardium® Exposure Manager APIs by using the Open Authorization (OAuth) protocol. OAuth is the industry-standard security protocol for authorization.

In OAuth, applications are called clients. An OAuth client uses the access token that an authentication server issues (IBM Security Verify) to access IBM Guardium Exposure Manager resources through APIs. To call the APIs, applications must be registered as OAuth clients in IBM Guardium Exposure Manager.
