The inverter status widget provides real-time visibility into the operational condition of each inverter in a solar power plant. It displays key performance indicators such as instantaneous Performance Ratio (PR) and Specific Power, helping you understand how effectively each inverter is contributing to energy generation at any given moment. The widget enables quick identification of inverter states, including running, tripped, communication failure, or no irradiance. By surfacing these states in a consolidated visual format, the widget supports rapid situational awareness, reduces diagnostic time, and helps maintain optimal plant performance

Visualization model

The widget displays inverter status over time using a horizontal time axis and a vertical arrangement of inverter identifiers, as shown in the screenshot. Each inverter is represented by a color-coded band that reflects its operational condition at the corresponding time interval. Green indicates running inverters. Brown indicates no irradiance. Red reflects tripped conditions. Grey denotes missing or unavailable data, and blue indicates communication failures. These color signals give operators an at‑a‑glance understanding of plant health and make it easy to identify patterns, outages, or behaviors that require attention. The view also provides toggle controls for switching between data modes, such as Status, Instantaneous PR, and Specific Power. This ensures that the widget adapts to different monitoring needs whether the operator requires a basic understanding of uptime or a more performance‑focused view.

Current behavior

The inverter status widget is designed to display the most recent two hours of inverter activity, offering operators an up‑to‑date view of plant performance. This real‑time window highlights current operating states, supports immediate situational awareness, and helps you monitor active conditions such as running status, communication availability, irradiance levels, and protection trips. By focusing on the latest operational information, the widget ensures that users have quick access to the data most relevant to present‑moment decision‑making. You can use this real‑time visibility to track inverter performance during key production periods and to stay informed about changing field conditions.

Interaction and controls

The widget includes several interactive elements that help users understand inverter conditions and navigate the visualization effectively. A color-coded legend appears below the chart to describe each inverter state; red indicates tripped inverters, blue reflects communication failure, brown represents no irradiance, green denotes running status, and grey shows when data is not available. These visual cues make it easy to interpret the chart without opening detailed diagnostic views. The top‑right corner provides a date selector that displays the active date, along with arrow controls and a calendar icon for choosing different days.
