Plant details

Use the Plant details step to define the basic identity, location, and contact information for a renewable plant that is being onboarded into IBM® Maximo® Renewables.

About this task

Plant details establish the foundational information required for onboarding a plant. This information identifies the plant within Maximo Renewables and is reused across later onboarding steps, including technical configuration, device mapping, dashboards, and user access. Accurate plant details help ensure that operational data is processed correctly and associated with the correct plant after deployment.

Procedure

  1. From the Onboarding overview page, click Create new project.
  2. In the Plant details step, select the Domain for the plant. The selected domain determines which technical fields and device types are available in later steps.
  3. Enter a Project name. The project name must be unique and can contain only alphanumeric characters.
  4. Enter the Customer name and Owner name associated with the plant.
  5. Optional: Enter Operation and maintenance vendor information, including the contract number and contract expiry date.
  6. Enter organizational details such as Entity name, Cluster name, and Region, if applicable.
  7. Optional: Enter a Batch number and Grid code if your organization uses them for internal tracking.
  8. Specify the Number of samples to be collected per data interval.
  9. In the Address section, search for or manually enter the plant address.
  10. Select the Country, State, and City, and enter the Postal code.
  11. Verify or enter the Latitude and Longitude values. Latitude must be between –90 and +90 degrees. Longitude must be between –180 and +180 degrees.
  12. Select the Time zone in the project master where time zone is the local plant time zone and Ingestion timezone would be in UTC only
  13. Enter a Contact person, Phone number, and Email address for the plant.
  14. Optional: Upload branding images for the plant, customer, owner, or O&M vendor. Supported file types are JPG and PNG. The maximum file size is 500 KB.
  15. Click Next to continue to the Technical details step.
