Configuring AMS allocation mappings

Configure the Availability Management System (AMS) with event allocation mappings and allocation category definitions to classify events for availability reports.

About this task

AMS configuration involves two main onboarding processes: event allocation mapping and allocation category definition. These configurations determine how event codes are classified and how they affect availability calculations.

Procedure

  1. Configure event allocation mappings.
    1. From the side navigation menu, go to AMS Configuration.
    2. Select the farm for which you want to configure event allocations.
    3. Download the sample template.
The template contains columns for Event Code, Description, and Allocation Categories.
    4. Maintain the mapping by make and model in separate worksheets within the template.
    5. Fill the required data for each event code, including its description and the allocation category.
    6. Upload the completed template to the system.
    7. Review the validation results to help ensure that all mappings are correct.
    8. Click Save to save the configuration.
  2. Configure allocation category definitions.
    1. From the AMS Configuration page, download the allocation category template.
The template includes columns for Allocation Type, Allocation Category, and Availability Scenario.
    2. Define each allocation category by specifying whether it represents available or not.
    3. Verify that all mappings are correct and complete.
    4. Upload the completed template to the system.
    5. Click Save to save the allocation category configuration.

Results

The system validates and saves your configuration. Event codes are now mapped to allocation categories, and each category is mapped to indicate whether asset is available or not for availability calculations.

What to do next

After configuration, you can begin editing event logs and allocating events to the appropriate categories for availability reporting.
