With IBM® Rational® Asset Manager,
you can use review processes or lifecycle workflows to ensure that
an asset is complete, accurate, and optimized for reuse.
Community administrators
define the review processes or lifecycles
for the assets in their communities.
In Rational Asset Manager Version
7.2, you can create custom lifecycles for assets by
using the user interface of the Rational Asset Manager Web
client.
When
an asset
will enter either a lifecycle or a review process
An asset
can be governed only by a single lifecycle or review process. When
you submit an asset to a community, the asset enters a lifecycle or
workflow in the following order:
- First, the asset is checked
to determine if it can be part of
any custom lifecycles in the community.
- If
no lifecycles apply to the asset, it is checked to determine
if it can be part of any review processes that are created
in the community.
- If no review processes apply to the asset,
it enters a simple,
implicit lifecycle process.
