Viewing instance information after deploying the CLM pattern

Once an instance is deployed from the VSP, you can view instance information for the CLM you just deployed into the cloud.

Before you begin

About this task

You need to view instance information in order to access the instance and use the deployed CLM application. Accessing CLM through the web requires the host information from the IHS node.

Procedure

  1. Open Instances > Virtual Systems.
  2. Select the instance you deployed.
  3. In the Details pane, expand Virtual Machines and your instance information. There should be three running virtual machines.
    • Standalone Node, which runs IBM WebSphere® Application Server and all CLM applications.
    • DB Node, which runs IBM DB2® ESE and holds all CLM-related databases and data warehouses.
    • IHS Node, which runs IBM HTTP Server as a reverse proxy for CLM applications.
  4. In the Hardware and network section, scroll down to the listing for Network interface, for example Network interface 1. It lists the hostname and IP address for the instance. You need them to access the instance.

Results

You can scroll down to the Consoles section and click the VNC link to log in to the application. See Administrative tasks for Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management in the cloud for more information about using the deployed application. See Accessing Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management from the deployed instance for more information accessing information from the instance.

To access WebSphere Application Server, go to the Standalone Node virtual machine, then click the Websphere console link. It takes you to the welcome page.
