IBM® Hybrid Cloud Mesh supports the following platforms and software.

Red Hat® Service Interconnect® versions

The versions of Red Hat Service Interconnect that can be installed are 1.9.1 and 1.8.5. If a version is not specified, 1.9.1 is installed when you deploy a gateway. For more information, see the following documents: To ensure that you have the latest features, security updates, and issue fixes, use the latest version of Red Hat Service Interconnect that is supported.

Mesh supports the onboarding of virtual application networks that were created with Red Hat Service Interconnect 1.4.4 or later.

Supported deployment environments for Red Hat Service Interconnect

You can deploy Red Hat Service Interconnect to any Kubernetes environment that is certified as part of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Certified Kubernetes Conformance program. Supported hardware architectures and operating systems for Red Hat Service Interconnect

You can deploy Red Hat Service Interconnect to any of the following hardware architectures and operating systems:

  • AMD64, x86_64
    • Linux®
  • s390x (public preview)
    • zLinux on IBM Z®
    • IBM LinuxONE

Supported hardware architectures and operating systems for the CLI

The command-line interface (CLI) runs on the following hardware architectures and operating systems.

Remember: Make sure the kube context for the CLI points to a cluster that runs on an architecture that the Service Interconnect edge gateway supports.
  • ARM64, AArch64
    • macOS, Big Sur, or later versions
  • AMD64, x86_64
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), versions 8.x and 9.x
    • Ubuntu, versions 20.x, 22.x, and 24.x
    • Windows™ 10 Pro and Windows 11 Pro
    • macOS, Big Sur, or later versions
  • s390x (public preview)
    • zLinux on IBM Z

Mesh supports recent versions of the following browsers:

  • Firefox

Supported IP versions

Mesh supports IPv4.

The version of the palmctl CLI that is supported for this release is 0000.00-d19ec85. For more information, see Installing the CLI.
