Setting preferences

Preferences allow you to control certain aspects of the behavior of Management Console.

You can set the following types of preferences:

Setting advanced preferences
When mapping tables, you can show all databases, schemas, libraries, or tables that are available for mapping, or you can specify filter criteria to display only those databases, schemas, libraries, or tables that you require.
Setting connection preferences
You can set the Access Server default port, specify the number of ports for Access Server, and choose whether you want to connect to datastores automatically after logging in to Management Console.
Setting datastore multiuser preferences
If you have, or you plan to add, a datastore that is accessed by more than one user, you can enable automatic multiuser configuration when adding datastores, and you can prompt users to log comments when unlocking subscriptions.
Setting prompt preferences
You can control when Management Console prompts you for confirmation before or while performing certain tasks.
